My names Kelsi and I’m a 25 year old recipe developer and entrepreneur from Auckland, New Zealand.
I love to create wholesome recipes and share them as well as photos of my adventures and travels on my instagram @healthykelsii – I was a competitive swimmer throughout my schooling years, which means I also have a passion for fitness and love to blog about all things lifestyle, food and wellness.
I started Healthy Kelsi back in 2020 during the first covid lockdown – my partner Andrew and I were meant to head off overseas traveling for the next few years. Clearly that couldn’t happen, so we were stuck at home not really knowing what to do with my life. I’d recently finished a business degree but ended up leaning in a completely different direction, starting up the Instagram page ‘Healthy Kelsi.’ I started this project really just to keep myself entertained and fix some of my stomach issues that had occurred the year before working at a summer camp in the states.
Fast forward to 2023 – I now have nearly 300,000 followers on social media, a wellness app, a diploma from Le Cordon Bleu and a best selling cookbook.
My food philosophy came from a young age as my mum has always tried to incorporate a variety of many organic plants as possible into our diets growing up. My philosophy is quite simple:
“Eat colourful foods from its natural form and try not think too much about it.”
Which is what I would love to inspire people to do. I prefer not to label a lifestyle as I think everyone has different needs in what makes them happy, but I strongly believe that by eating more plants and colours you will be able to live a healthy balanced lifestyle. I’m always getting excited about planning my next meal around delicious, wholesome ingredients.
